Project Overview
Project Overview: My goal for this project was to create a high poly model of a 2008 Audi TT Roadster. After all the modeling I was hoping to make a short video to show off the car. You can find this video under gallery, along with a few renders of the final product of the car.
What I Did: Modeled entire car Map on hadlights and tal lights Background and ground All lighting Short video What Other People Did: Headlight and Tail light textures Software Tools: 3ds Max 2009
Final Video Render Time: About 1 hour
System Specs: 2.13Ghz Intel Core2 CPU, 1 GB RAM, 256MB ATI Radeon X1300PRO video card
Project Timeline: To have some kind of idea of how to make the Audi I followed some videos showing steps for another type of car. About half way through my project I broke away from the videos and started to onlly use them as references.

My thoughts on this project : At the end of this project, I think I walked away with a lot more knowledge about modeling and 3ds max than at the beginning. My goal was to finish a fairly realistic model of a 2008 Audi TT Roadster. I think with the amount of time allotted I did pretty well. If I had more time I think I could have done more to make the model as best as possible.
I found a few things frustrating throughout this process. On something's I couldn't really get them the way I wanted and so I had to settle for what I had. I would have liked to do an interior, but I just didn't have enough time. All and all I'm happy with the out come of this project. I think it gave me a lot of experience with 3ds max and modeling.
